There are eighty olive trees which yield delicious fresh virgin olive oil, a large chicken house, an Orto (kitchen garden) and a large swimming pool with wooden deck. The valley is rich in animal life and from the garden one can see wild boar, foxes, porcupines, birds of prey, hoopoes in the summer, and hear the owls at night.

Downstairs Apartment

The downstairs apartment has two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The long living room has the kitchen and dining area next to the french window which leads out onto a private terrace. The terrace looks across to Mogliano and down to the swimming pool.

The Cantina.

The property Oliveto was owned by one family before Tamsin bought it in 2003, and in the late 1940s forty five people lived in the house. Many of the descendents of the family still live in Mogliano and can remember the dormitories of boys and girls and meals in shifts. It has been converted into a home for Tamsin and Aldo and their family and two self catering apartments. The large cantina has been converted into a farmhouse kitchen which seats twenty people comfortably at the long table. Outside the cantina Aldo has built an outdoor fireplace where he can cook "a la braccia" even in the winter.

The property has been restored with care, combining the wooden beamed ceilings and the traditional window forms with modern amenties such as double glazing, gas fired central heating and modern plumbing.
