Access to Oliveto by car:
Take the motorway that goes from Bologna to Pescara, due South.
Come off the
motorway at the Civitanova Marche exit and follow signs for Macerata. This
is a superstrada (two lane road) that goes towards the mountains.
Take the
Sarnano Sforzacosta exit and turn towards Sarnano, crossing back over the
superstrada, which will be to the right at the T-junction; take the road to the
left that goes to Macerata and Sforzacosta.
Follow this road up and over the hill
and then you will see the Abbadia di Fiastra on your left; turn left here
following signs to Mogliano.
Follow these signs until you get into Mogliano.
When you have passed the SMA supermarket and the Total garage turn right,
following signs to Corridonia.
Go out of town, passing the cemetery with
its cypresses on your left. You will be on a long straight road,
with a hairpin bend to the left at the end.
Shortly after this bend you will
see Contrada Volturelle on your left, steeply down a small road. Take this road and we are the last house,
where the road ends.
If you get to the Trattoria Montecchiari you have gone too
far, turn around in their car park and our road is immediately to the right.
